Important Planning for CPA's in 2022

CPA Leadership Insights: CSQM1, Tax Planning Reporting & Talent Management

Our event aims to address 3 main topics impacting small to medium-sized firms for 2023 and beyond:

1. CSQM1: This session is focused on introducing accounting firms performing only compilation and tax services to the new quality management standard, CSQM1, which must be fully implemented by December 15, 2023.

2. Tax Planning Reporting: The new reporting rules are ill-defined and broad in scope creating massive uncertainty as to their potential application. Further, not only do the rules increase the risk for penalties to apply to taxpayers but they expose their advisors to penalties, potentially even where the taxpayer is not exposed, creating a potential for conflicts of interest between advisor and their clients.

3. Talent Management: Is your 2023 in-the-office or remote plan working? Our global future of work is changing. Employees are demanding this change and flexibility after covid. Top CPA talent is working remotely and younger newly designated CPA’s are looking at Total Rewards. Retention and multiple offers and becoming a challenge.
